Company Overview

EdTech is an Education SaaS platform that empowers educators to create engaging courses, track student progress, and provide personalized learning experiences.

Challenges

EdTech encountered several UX challenges that impacted both educators and students. The course creation process was overly complex, leaving educators frustrated and slowing down the development of engaging lessons. At the same time, the absence of an intuitive dashboard made it difficult to track student progress, hindering timely interventions. Additionally, without clear tools for customizing lessons and creating personalized learning paths, educators struggled with course creation workflows. Lack of gamification and trackers made the platforms experience unappealing. These challenges ultimately affected productivity and learning outcomes, highlighting the need for a more streamlined and user-friendly solution.

User Research

After conducting initial user research and gathering feedback from users across different roles, we identified some key UX issues and challenges.

Analysing data - What users are doing?
We analyzed platform interactions and found inefficiencies in course creation workflows and student performance tracking.

Ideate - Prototype - Test

We designed prototypes for drag-and-drop course builders, visual student progress dashboards, and AI-driven personalized recommendations. Feedback from educators refined the solutions further.

Solution

Through meticulous user research and iterative prototyping, we crafted a streamlined claims platform that simplifies complex workflows. By prioritizing usability and optimizing the information architecture, we enhanced accessibility, making the claims process faster and more intuitive for all users.

Personalized Student  Dashboard
  • Designed a student dashboard with a progress tracker, visual calendar, and performance metrics like quiz scores and assignment deadlines. Milestones are highlighted for easy tracking.
  • Improvements: Enhanced student engagement, improved task organization, and better learning outcomes.
Interactive Lesson Screen
  • Developed an interactive lesson screen with a video player, inline note-taking, and quiz popups triggered at specific timestamps to reinforce learning.
  • Improvements:  Improved student focus, enhanced learning retention, and increased lesson interactivity.
Intuitive Course Creation Panel
  • Built a drag-and-drop course creation panel with support for multiple file types, an assessment builder for quizzes, and a preview function for lessons.
  • Improvements: Simplified course creation, increased educator productivity, and improved lesson quality.
Analytics Dashboard for Instructors
  • Designed an analytics dashboard featuring participation heatmaps, engagement trends, and at-risk student alerts. Visual cues and graphs make data interpretation effortless.
  • Improvements: Enabled early intervention for at-risk students, improved course effectiveness, and streamlined instructor decision-making.
